Post-doctor appointment. I have 3 more months before I see him again. I am continuing on the path, and I hope and expect to have more progress to show 3 months from now.

In the last 3 months I have achieved so much. I plan to continue to do what I have been doing, and get more incremental improvements. My wife and I are permanently on the new lifestyle, the new diet. I know it is the right thing to do.

Escape Velocity

In the last 3 months I have lost over 30 lbs, and I am not only keeping it off, I am continuing to lose weight. I am committed to my lifestyle, and I am not willing to go back. We don't buy the foods I used to eat. We eat a lot of green salad, meat and fish. I focus on zero or low carbohydrate foods, and only eat when my blood glucose level indicates it is safe to do so.

Weighing less means less stress on my body and my legs. It is easier to stand up. I like that. The change is positively affecting my life. Moving around feels easier. Last weekend my wife and I went kayaking, for the first time in a long while. Last week we also went on a long bike ride. We are getting more active in our lives. It is like we are breaking the chains from the pull of gravity, like a rocket reaching escape velocity. It is exciting to experience, and very motivating.

Counting Down To Overweight

Previously I explained about my goal to be overweight. I am now getting more excited as my weight is approaching the point where I will no longer be categorized as obese. I will be merely overweight. I started tracking my weight daily in Excel. Based on a height of 5'10" I need a weight of 208 lbs to have a BMI of 29.8. By tracking my daily morning weight, and applying a trend function, I can predict when I will reach that goal assuming other conditions remain the same. Currently, that date is around mid-August.

I can also report that my frustrations with my former scales are a thing of the past. My new scales are working out fine.
